JULY MEETING 2010

 

Minutes of the meeting held on Saturday 3rd July 2010 in the Marton Hotel & Country Club,

Stokesley Road, Marton, Middesbrough.

 

The Chairman opened the meeting at 12.05 hrs.

 

PRESENT: Mr J Ferguson (Chairman/Secretary),

                     C Sherris, W Spence, P Knox, J Roddam, M Winspear, J Fletcher, N Wise, V Brownlee,

                       C Westerman, H Taylor, P Ord, I Camp, F Gilchrist, T Harris & H Robson.                       .

 

APOLOGIES. Mr E Cook, V/P M C Finkill, P Hellings, P Simpson, A Mercer, M McGhinn, F Kidd.

 

Minutes of the Previous Meeting: The minutes of the meeting held on Saturday 1st May 2010 were

                                                          read and deemed a true record.

Proposed: P Knox                                                                               Seconded: J Roddam. And carried

 

Matters arising from the minutes: Nil

                                                            

Correspondence: IN: a) Bank Statement

                                     b) Membership card for T Harrison.

                                   c) Letter from Commanding Officer.

                                   d) Cheque form Dickinson Dees

                                   e) Letter from Household Division.

                                     f) Christmas Cards

 

                         OUT: a) Receipt and letter of thanks to Dickinson Dees

                                     b) Application for membership for T Harrison.

                                                                

Matters arising from the Correspondence: Nil

 

Proposed: I Camp.                                          Seconded: W Spence. That the correspondence be adopted.

 

Treasurer’s Report: Deputy Treasurer J Ferguson gave a full report of the accounts to the end of April.

                                    

Welfare Report: Mr G Bell had asked the Secretary if he would commend Tom Harris in the Branch minutes

                              for his valued regular contact with him, the secretary replied that he would.

                              The Secretary had arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be sent to Mrs Carol Bell, and

                              Geoff had phoned him to thank the branch.

                              The Secretary reported that he had spoken with H Taylor who was waiting to go into        

                              hospital for an operation.

                                                                                                           

Social Secretary: The Secretary reported the Association day had been a very good day,

                              The next function will be the Annual Dinner dance and tickets are available.

Being no further business to discuss the Chairman thanked the members for their attendance and remarked that it had been a very good meeting. He then closed the meeting at 12.40 hrs.
