Minutes of
the meeting held on Saturday 6th June 2009 in the Marton Hotel &
Country Club,
The
Chairman opened the meeting at 12.04hrs
PRESENT:

Minutes of the Previous Meeting: The minutes of the meeting held on Saturday 2nd
May 2009 were read
and deemed a true record.
Proposed:
C Sherris Seconded: A Bernistone.
Matters arising from the minutes: Comments were passed regarding the behavioural
manner of certain
guests, this will not be tolerated and will be monitored.
Correspondence: IN: a) Bank Statement.
b) Letter
of thanks from the Regimental Adjutant.
c) Letter of Invite from Household
Division Association Teesside & Durham.
d) Email of thanks from Mr J
Anderson.
e) Sweepstakes Tickets.
f) Letter regarding Battle of
Britain parade.
g) Email regarding the Stockton ACF
Corps of Drums.
OUT:
a) Letter of thanks to Marton Hotel & Coutry Club management.
b) Letter
of thanks to WOI (RSM) J Sheard
Matters
arising from the Correspondence:
Proposed: J Roddam Seconded:
N Wise. That the correspondence be adopted.
Treasurer’s
Report: Deputy Treasurer E Cook
reported very little change to last months accounts.
Welfare
Report: V/P M Finkill reported
that Mr L Wilson’s leg is infected again with ulcers.
The Secretary reported that he
had spoken to Treasurer Mr I Camp and his other leg is
now infected.
Chairman J
Ferguson gave an update on Mr P Manuel.
The Secretary
asked the Chairman if he would kindly check on Mr P Mitchell who
recently had a bone graft on his ankle.
Social
Secretary: The Chairman reported the next function would
be the Annual Dinner dance reminding
the members that the time is 7.00pm.for dinner at 7.30pm,
and from now on Dinner
would be served promptly, we would not wait for late comers.
Also monies will be
required one week
before the function.
The Secretary
reported that his next function would be
members interested in attending to let him know names ASAP.
He also reported that the
next pass out parade at Helles Barracks will be on
Friday 7th
August.

Any Other
Business: V/P M Finkill gave a
detailed report on the re-badging of the Stockton ACF
Corps of
Drums as proposed by Major Murray, all the required personnel had been
Informed.
Vice
Chairman reminded the branch members that today was the 65th
Anniversary of
D Day 6th
of June and asked that before the Chairman closed the meeting we stand and
observe one minutes silence in memory of those who gave
their lives.

Finkill gave the eulogy.
Being no further business to discuss the Chairman
thanked the members for their attendance and
commented that it had been a very good meeting. He then closed
the meeting at 13.06 hrs.
