JANUARY MEETING
2010
Minutes of
the meeting held on Saturday 2nd January 2010 in the Marton Hotel &
Country Club,
Stokesley
Road, Marton, Middesbrough.
The Chairman
opened the meeting at 12.10 hrs.
Before commencing with branch matters the Chairman called for the Member to stand and observe one minutes silence in memory of Mr George Kent who had died suddenly on New Years Eve day

Minutes of the Previous Meeting: The minutes of the meeting held on Saturday 5th
December 2009 were
read and deemed a true record.

I Camp. That the correspondence be adopted.
Treasurer’s
Report: Deputy Treasurer E Cook
gave a full report of the accounts to the Year end.
He remarked
that the accounts needed Auditing and he would appreciate two
members to
assist him, F Gilchrist and I Camp volunteered.
Welfare
Report: Mr I Camp reported that
he was due to see the specialist in three weeks time with his skin
graft.
He also reported
that Mr P Hellings has had the optic nerve partly tuned in.
The Secretary reported
that he had received a phone call from Mr C Westerman informing
him that he had
had a fall and hit his head, he was still slightly concussed.
Social Secretary:
The Chairman reported that he would be away on holiday until 29th March
2010, and he
would then look to names
for the St George’s Dinner.
The Secretary to
collect details for Association Day at Chatsworth House.
Any Other
Business: The Secretary reported
that he was pleased to announce that Vice President,
Lt Colonel
Allan Barnes had been awarded the OBE in the New Years Honours
Mr C Sherris asked if a buffet was being planned
for the AGM because he thought a
lot was wasted
and that it should be stopped, the Secretary said it would.
After some
discussion it was left to the Secretary to seek a cheaper buffet and
could be done
in the bar.
Being no further business to discuss the Chairman thanked the members for their attendance and remarked that it had been a very good meeting. He then closed the meeting at 13.00 hrs.

6th 2010 (This will be the AGM)
