Tickets for the event

The dedication of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) Fromelles (Pheasant Wood) Military Cemetery, Fromelles, northern France, will take place on Monday 19 July 2010. During the dedication, an un-named soldier will be buried. He is the last of the 250 Australian and British soldiers found at the Pheasant Wood site to be laid to rest.

 

Members of the public are invited to attend the event. A public viewing area will be created in a field next to the cemetery. The ceremony and final burial will be shown on a big screen.

 

e-Tickets 

Ticket numbers for this event are limited due to space restrictions in Fromelles. If you would like to attend then you need to be in possession of an e-ticket. Tickets are still available, and information on how to apply can be found at www.cwgc.org/tickets

 

Travelling to Fromelles

Members of the public who wish to travel to the event are able to book a space on a dedicated Eurostar service that will be running between London and Lille on Monday 19 July.

 

The train will depart St Pancras International at 08:04, arriving in Lille at 10:24 local time (BST+1). On arrival at Lille, transport will be provided to and from the event, with the return train departing Lille Europe at 16:05 and arriving at St Pancras International at 16:26.

 

There are a limited number of seats available on this service, and the cost of a return ticket on this service is £40 per person, which includes tickets being delivered to you by recorded delivery. If you wish to take up this offer please send a cheque made payable to “The Accounting Officer – MOD” to the address below.
