1.
Association Day 2010 will be held on Saturday
26th June at Chatsworth House, by kind permission of HG the Duke of
Devonshire.
2. The day will follow the same routine as it
did on our last visit to Chatsworth in 2004 and will commence at 1100 hrs. The bar will close at 1700 hours and everyone
is asked to leave the estate by 1800 hours.
3. The Battalion marquee will be set up with a
fully stocked bar and limited seating. The Regimental Band will play throughout
the afternoon and will close the proceeding with a marching display and the National
Anthem.

4. We have been given free admittance to the house
and grounds. Tickets will be provided for
those wishing to attend.
5. Cars and coaches will be allowed free parking
facilities for which a
parking permit will be required.
6. Many members will wish to take advantage of
the extensive grounds to picnic but for those who would prefer not to carry hampers
Chatsworth will provide a lunch box priced at £10.50p. It will contain:
Chatsworth
Gardeners Tap Beer or Mini Bottle of wine or Belvoir cordial
Chicken
Caesar sandwich
Farm
Shop Pork Pie with pickle
Piper’s
sea salt crisps
Chatsworth
home baked fancy
Strawberries
and clotted cream
Tea
and coffee will be available throughout the day at 95p per cup.
8. For those
who would prefer it there are a number of restaurants and other food outlets on
the estate.
9. This letter will be updated nearer the event
and will include information on how to apply for parking tickets, admittance vouchers
and lunch boxes but I hope there is sufficient information here to enable branches
to make plans. I believe that, weather
permitting; we will have another truly enjoyable day in an outstanding location.
